So how do you make money online by blogging? Well you have to sign up for Google AdSense first. Google will place ads, relevant to your blog, on your blog (after you tell them to of course) and each time someone clicks an ad you will get a commission on that click-thru. You'll need an e-mail, mailing address and some basic information when you sign up for yourAdSense account.
After you sign up for your AdSense account, you'll need an actual blog. As I said before, there are many sites that offer free blogging platforms, but the example used below will be Google Blogger.
Hopefully by now you have some idea what you are going to blog about. You'll need to pick a name for your blog. It can be completely simple or simply unique. If you plan on creating several blogs (maybe some how to's on your latest hobby) then it may pay off to be more name specific. For example, a blog with how to's on aquaponics gardening could be called something like "How to Grow an Aquaponics Garden." For the website address, simply replace the spaces with a dash "-" (how-to-grow-an-aquaponics-garden). This can help with search engine optimization (SEO) and rankings.
After you create your first blog, write an article. If you aren't sure what to write, you can write a simple introduction about you, the blogger. Next, go to your Blogger home page (the page that allows you to manage your blogs) and click the 'Monetize" button. It will then ask you to sign up for a Google AdSense account, which you already did, but click it anyway. You will then have the option of using an existing Adsense account and it will ask that you log in. Now Blogger will give you 4 options to make money online with your blog. I usually pick the first one (which places ads in my sidebar and in my posts) but you can pick any option you choose. Click 'Next' after you pick an option and now you're ready to make money online blogging!
